Meet The Team

Vimolmangkang's passion for herbs in healthcare led her to research Thai medicinal plants and cannabis. Recognizing the potential of cannabis for medical use after Thailand's legalization, she established a research cluster on cannabis and its natural substances in 2019.

 

Leapdelab's name reflects Vimolmangkang's mission to take research "out of the lab" and into the hands of people who can benefit from it.

Vimolmangkang holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences (Plant Biotechnology) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Chiangmai University. She leads the team at Leapdelab while also serving as a professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University.

With a decade of expertise in TTM, herbal medicine, and pharmacognosy, Naruemon joined Leapdelab in 2022. She crafts herbal formulations and steers the company's path to medical cannabis licensing. Her current focus: exploring cannabis extract's antibiotic potential. Her ultimate goal? High-quality, effective herbal medicine for patients.

Naruemon boasts a TTM bachelor's degree, a Master's in Pharmacy (pharmacognosy), and TTM/Spa/cannabis licenses. She's a Chulalongkorn University Ph.D. candidate and an Rangsit University lecturer/committee member.

Fascinated by genetic engineering, Khwanlada honed her skills for 9 years in Sornkanok's lab, first as a research assistant and then as a PhD student. Her research focused on efficient, plant-based production of natural compounds using biotechnology.

Driven by the belief in affordable medicine and sustainable resources, Khwanlada joined Leapdelab to pioneer plant cell technology in Thailand. She envisions LDL as a game-changer for both industry and patients.

 

Khwanlada holds a BSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science from Chulalongkorn University. Her research achievements are complemented by international training at CAMAG Switzerland, the University of Nagasaki, and the University of Chiba.

Dr. Pannipa Janta, who joined Leapdelab in June 2023, specializes in analyzing volatile compounds in food and herb samples. Her expertise includes developing cost-effective and simplified analytical approaches to enhance the separation efficiency of volatile compounds in complex samples. Collaborating with Assoc. Prof. Sornkanok Vimolmangkang, Pannipa integrates analytical chemistry and pharmaceutical science in a project focused on studying the volatilomics of various cannabis samples for commercial applications. Her overarching goal at Leapdelab is to research and develop medicinal cannabis products that align with consumer preferences and meet legal and safety standards. 
 

Pannipa holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Chulalongkorn University and currently serves as a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University.

Burapha University alumna Petlada Khositanon brings her expertise in biochemistry and Liquid Chromatography to Leapdelab. As both an analytical project manager and research assistant, she leverages her 4+ years of experience in sample preparation, extraction, and cannabis chemistry to develop new LC methods for comprehensive analysis of cannabis and its products.

 

Fueled by a passion for innovation, Petlada aims to contribute to Leadelab's mission of harnessing the power of cannabis for positive impact.

Tatiya, a Master Grower and Research Assistant at Leapdelab, combines expertise in cannabis cultivation and plant tissue culture. Her passion lies in harnessing nature's power, as evidenced by her recent work on Dermal papilla cell cultures.

 

A Mahasarakham University biology graduate, Tatiya honed her analytical skills through HPTLC training at Chulalongkorn University. At Leapdelab, she strives to develop impactful products rooted in nature, leveraging her skills to plant seeds of well-being for all.
